Kicker Redesigns the Solo-Baric L7 Subwoofer

Kicker Solo-Baric L7 Subwoofer

Maybe I’m just lazy, but I say, if you have something good, why meddle with it? Luckily the engineers at Kicker don’t share my shoddy lack of ambition and have redesigned their fabulous square subwoofer.

Available in all those lovely sizes (8, 10, 12 and 15 inches), the Solo-Baric still boasts its SoloKon, a one-piece, injection-molded cone with full-coverage back bracing that, according to Kicker, “pushes more air and creates louder bass than any like-size round subwoofer.”

For everyone who mounts your subs the standard way, the cone’s all you’ll see, but for fans of inverting your woofers, you can also check out the newly tweaked motor structure. It has dual high-temp voice coils, a poly-cotton semi-progressive spider, Spiralead tinsel-lead technology, highly-efficient UniPlate pole-piece/back plate, and a heat-reducing T-cut top plate for enormous power handling. Whew!

Other pluses is a new solid pole piece for greater heat dispersal and more venting. For all your 2-Ohm and 4-Ohm applications, check out this deliciously square speaker. www.kicker.com
