It's casual Friday again and the topic is random press releases. I love getting info from electronics manufacturers, letting me know before the rest of you about the latest thingermabob. But, I also get a lot of random emails (e.g., gift baskets for your dog, bouquets made out of baby clothes... you get the picture).
Here's an item that I first dismissed. But editor Ben pointed out that it actually could be useful to our readers. Ever been to a car show and seen a vehicle that had business cards tucked into every piece of weatherstripping, the windshield wipers and the body seams? If you build a great car, you want show-goers to have your info, but you don't want your vehicle to look like a bulletin board.
Grab-A-Card is a simple, plastic box that supposedly attaches to pretty much anything. It uses two 3M pressure sensitive tape strips to adhere to your car without damaging a its surfaces. Maybe you should try a window first -- what can I say? I'm a skeptic. But, it only costs 10 bucks from grabacard.com so it's worth a try.
Till next Friday...
P.S. Attention public relations people: Enough with the baby clothes bouquets already! Ditto to the doggy gift basket folks.
