Optima’s got Chris Yato on their new website

Optima Batteries New Site

Wow! Optima’s new website looks great! Rather than just trying to sell product (which reminds me, check out the newsstands for the January issue, loaded with our picks of this year’s best products), it also dishes out some pretty useful info. And with Chris Yato on board as their expert, you know the info is legit.

In their Ask The Pro section, Chris answers questions like: “What is a simple way to gauge if you are putting too much stress on your amp,” “How do I wire speakers in series and in parallel,” and “I heard that I should run my power wire directly to my car's battery. Why should I bother, and how do I do it?”

The questions are all posed by “anonymous,” which leads me to think that this first batch of questions are from Optima employees. But, you can also post your own question and see if that loveable Chris (if you doubt how much we love Yato, wait till you see our Trifecta coverage in the March issue) answers.

A note: I’m sure Chris doesn’t want to answer that question we always get, “What blankety-blank should I buy?” Experts, whether they’re Chris Yato, our own Troubleshooter Derek Lee or our tech editor Casey Thorson, shouldn’t tell you what you should choose. It’s a personal decision based on your listening tastes, vehicle and budget. Make up your own mind and use resources like product evaluations and test reports from Car Audio to help you reach your own decision.

Now that I’m off the soapbox, let us know what you think about the new site (http://www.optimabatteries.com/audio_electronics/). And if you have any non-what-should-I-buy questions, feel free to barrage our own Troubleshooter at techpanel@sourceinterlink.com.
