Car Audio and Electronics fans in Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Slovenia will soon have the opportunity to buy a Renault co-branded by Nokia. The Twingo Nokia will come loaded with the Finnish company's hands-free and navigation technology (Here's an unrelated tidbit: Nokia recently put in a bid to purchase digital mapmaker Navteq.)
Is this a sign for more partnerships to come? Many automakers, luxury and otherwise, already incorporate other companies' technology into their vehicles, but this is all kept under wraps. With consumers wanting more conveniences in their cars, though, we?re seeing more advertised partnerships (for instance, Ford and Microsoft, or the rumors about Volkswagen and Apple's "iCar").
Right now, however, we (or Europeans, rather) can pick up the new Renault, which is paired with Nokia's navigation phone. Prices start at just $17,220 (that's 12,150 euros).
