In the past, big electronic company CEOs (think Microsoft's Bill Gates or Panasonic's Toshihiro Sakamoto) have given the keynote address at January's Consumer Electronics Show. CEA (the Consumer Electronics Association) recently announced that 2008's keynote will be given by General Motor's Rick Wagoner. It's hardly surprising given the interest in-vehicle technology has earned among the general public.
Readers know that CES is where all the big manufacturers launch their latest products. It will be interesting to hear what the CEO of the world's biggest automaker has to say about the rising role of consumer electronics in the auto industry. If you're attending CES, the address will be on Tuesday, January 8th at 4:30pm.
