Millions of fans experience hundreds of musical performances, vote for their favorites, and watch live as a group of judges from the music industry announce the ultimate winner during a colossal special event. Sound familiar?
It should very soon. It's a CraveFest, a KICKER-sponsored cultural phenomenon which will have most of the Internet world blogging and emailing throughout the summer about the bands they can't get enough of.
CraveFest is an international music-video awards festival providing musicians with the ultimate outlet to be seen and heard worldwide. Fans watch, rate, and vote for top talent from the CraveFest website, and those videos receiving the most votes will compete during a four-day, music-video festival beginning August 14 in Toronto, Ontario, where the CraveFest champions will be crowned. Additional live concert events will be scheduled throughout the summer months as well, leading up to the festival.
From the link at cravefest.com, bands create a profile and submit their videos. Music fans can browse the extensive video library, rating and voting on favorite performances, all while securing a chance to win great prizes themselves. At the festival in August, judges will hand out awards to both signed and unsigned artists for Best Song, Best Video, and Most Original video in three genera of music: punk/rock/metal; hip-hop/R&B; and electronic/dance/world.
