Pioneer lay down this gauntlet to 17 of its dealers: Build the ultimate sound quality demo vehicle. The Premier branded dealers will receive a complete Premier branded audio system to be installed in their own demo vehicle. The top 5 vehicles will be honored at an award ceremony, while prizes and trophies will go all around!
It will be interesting to see the different installs the 17 different shops come up with using the exact same products: a DEH-P880PRS headunit, PRS-D4100F 4-channel amplifier, two PRS-D1100M mono amplifiers, a pair of TS-C720PRS 6-1/2” component speakers and two TS-W3001D4 12-inch subwoofers.
Judging will take place at Pioneer’s Mobile Electronics Road Show in Tucson, AZ. The PRS Demo Vehicle Build-off will use IASCA ruling in both installation and audio judging with Ultimate Pro Class competition standards. At the final stage, three certified IASCA judges (Will Adcock, Moe Sabourin and Harry Kimura) will critique and score each audio system on its installation safety, creativity and audio quality and performance.
