LA AUTO SHOW FOR AN EXCLUSIVE VW PARTY

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – If you were at the LA Auto Show you know it was an event to remember. Not just because of the unveiling of great concept cars like Volkswagen’s Tiguan, but also because 300 lucky Volkswagen Owners were given top priority at a celebration just for them. Plus, if you were lucky enough to get your hands on the limited-edition lanyard at the 2007 LA Auto Show, you finally found what it is like to be with the “in crowd”.

The event was held Sunday, December 10th from 8:30p.m. – Midnight at The Roxy, a Hollywood hotspot. Volkswagen held the only party that treated Volkswagen Owners and guests like Red Carpet A-Listers. The night hosted Eagles of Death Metal, who played songs like “Don’t Speak” and “Move in the Night”. Also on-hand to keep Volkswagen Owners rockin’ was DJ Lethal from Limp Bizkit. The Hosts for the night were Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum from Velvet Revolver.

Not only were the ears of Volkswagen Owners filled with music, but the sights were one to remember. Volkswagen displayed its one-of-a-kind, Dunny Edition Rabbit, designed by Paul Budnitz, which quickly became a popular photo spot with Volkswagen Owners. These sights and sounds of the evening made Volkswagen Owners thirsty for more, and they got it.

The first fifteen lucky Guests to arrive at the party were handed VIP passes to hang with Duff and Matt from Velvet Revolver. Also, all those in attendance had the opportunity to receive a new iPod Shuffle® through a joyride incentive at participating dealerships. Guests who attended received the ever-coveted “swag bag”, which included hot items like the VW hand sign t-shirt, GTI headphones and the joyride incentive for the iPod Shuffle.
